5 Reasons why we eagerly wait for HOLI every year

Well time of the year to be drenched in the hues of merriment. Every-year  Holi is celebrated with fun and frolic throughout the country .But ,what makes it an alluring festival is the happy colour soaked vibes radiating everywhere .Here are the five reasons why we look forward to Holi every year with enthusiasm.

THE NATION IS DIFFRENTIALLY FRIEND-ZONED

Well the nerd who lives next door or your strict and somber neighbor will have no  option left but to smile even if you throw a bucket of colored water on them .If at all they chide we always have the catchphrase “Bura na mano holi hai” to save us from their wrath.

Young and old come together and throw water filled balloons to any random stranger in the street and that’s completely acceptable.Want to sneak peek into someone’s Private holi party? You absolutely can because who can distinguish one painted face from the other!

WHO DOES NOT LIKE TO SHAKE A LEG TO PEPPY HOLI SONGS

We all love to groove to the sassy tunes of Bollywood numbers be it any occasion. No other festival has to its credit so many songs written, sung and choreographed like Holi.

From Kishore kumars’,  ‘holi ke din dil khil jate hai‘ to the latest badrinath ki dulhaniya’s holi song , the beats and the videos of these songs make you fall in love with the festival of colors.

FOR THE LOVE OF BHANG

When holi comes can bhang be far behind?Bhang is an edible preparation of cannabis used in food and drink for centuries.

Festivals like holi, janmastmi and shiv raatri have made bhang quite popular .During holi go to any lassi stall to have  some refreshments. They will ask you if you need a normal or a special Lassi? And everyone knows the code that special lassi is bhang minced in lassi to keep you in high spirits.

Bhang is offered and easily available everywhere. It definitely adds to the gusto with which Holi is celebrated.

WE LOVE DRESSING UP IN WHITE

Come holi and everyone flaunts their white kurtas, sarees and suits.Well blame it on the Bollywood songs where the actors are dressed in designer white suits,it is indeed the color code for everyone unanimously.

The gulal too looks more vibrant on white dresses. So do flaunt your white kurta or saree this holi!

WHEN HOLI IS ON A MONDAY

Well this time there are more reasons to celebrate Holi as it coincides with the most dreaded day of the week.

Festivals are more fun when they are on week days. Thanks to holi ,no one has to follow the monotonous Monday time table to schools, colleges and offices dressed up in suit and boot.We can laze around the whole day and make merry!

Well even the google doodle today will make you run and frolic with friends in this unique festival of colors. So have a safe and happy Holi!
