Central Government is aiming at developing a vast skill ecosystem in Odisha. The Union Skill Development Minister announced it when he attended the IndiaSkills Regional Competition held in Bhubaneswar. He stated that numerous youths from the state are migrating to other states across India for work and should receive proper training before shifting. He further added that skill development and training is much more needy in Eastern India,especially Odisha.
Various institutes are planned to be set up and ample amount of events are yet to get organised in the region to entice eminent industry leaders. IndiaSkills Regional Competition was held to make people aware and arouse their interest in the direction of skill training, assisting them to live with dignity. The competition is a series of regional playoffs principally organised in eastern Indian states and will linger till July 17, having 250 contestants from 23 states, competing crosswise for 27 skills.
Winners from all the four competitions will seek prize in National Competition scheduled to be held in Delhi, commencing from October 2. Winners will be subjected to protracted industry training and will have a golden chance to showcase their talent at WorldSkills International Competition to be conducted in Kazan,Russia in August 2019. IndiaSkills Regional Competition is the country’s premier national skills competition, first of its kind, providing perfect opportunity to skilled youth for exhibiting their proficiency and to train themselves with the best in industry. The initiative is conducive in increasing the long-range standards of sweeping talents and elevating their radical outlook of tech-industry.
