Chandaka – Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary

This beautiful Sanctuary is nestled in the outskirts of the city near Bermunda. This gigantic biome is spread over 190 Sq.Km and is an abode to many rare species of Flora and Fauna. The elephant is the flagship species of the Sanctuary .So if one desires to spend some quality time in the lap of nature listening to the roars and hiss of the wild animals this place is apt.
The Chandrabhaga Beach

This golden beach is a mere 70 km ride from the town. The Marine drive stretch is one of the most exotic beaches one can ever come across. The best time to visit this place is before the crack of dawn and watch the entire beach turn aureate in the hues of the infant-sun .This not so crowded serene beach serves the perfect hangout for a bunch of friends. The famous Konark temple is just a walk away from the beach.
Ocean World Water Park, Phulnakhara

Well this is the kind of amusement park where the stress of a whole week vanishes with a splash of water! This place is just 14 km from Bhubaneswar. The joy rides will surely give you the much needed adrenaline rush that you have been craving throughout the week.
Anshupa Lake

This fresh water lake is located on the banks of River Mahanadi in Banki and is 50 km away from Bhubaneswar. Its scenic beauty is mesmerizing. It also serves as a shelter to migratory birds in the winter season. The entire landscape is dotted with bamboo cottages. The facilities of boating and fishing make sure that the visitors have an amazing and unforgettable experience.
Dhaulagiri Hills

This place is a 40 minute drive from Bhubaneswar on the way to Pipili. This is the historic place where the battle of Kalinga was fought. The bloodbath transformed The Great king Ashoka and made him embrace peace. He built several stupas and made the place a center for Buddhist activities.
