Ekamra Heritage Walks of Bhubaneswar is a rediscovery and celebration of the city’s rich architectural treasures, its traditions, rituals and customs.
The area we now call Old Town, was known in ancient times as Ekamra Kshetra, referring to an ‘area’ (kshetra) adorned with mango trees (ekamra). Guided walks through its landscapes, streets and temples will help reconnect visitors with the city’s glorious past.

Along the walk you will not only experience one of the largest clusters of magnificent temples, constituting virtually a complete record of Kalinga architecture, but also witness the living traditions of existing settlements around the temples, its rituals, festivals and other observances believed to be centuries old.
