World Radio Day (12th -14th Feb) – The biggest Radio Fair of India in Bhubaneswar

World Radio Day: 12th-14th Feb 2017 at Unit-III Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar

Partners: Association of Radio operators for India is partner of the event.

The objective of the event is celebrating radio. This is also a platform for radio station owners, executives, broadcasters meet, plan and discuss policies and strategies for Radio, building radio skills for youth radio production, with focus on women empowerment even as producers.

The event also aims at encouraging broadcasters to prepare programs for promotion of culture and eradication of social evils. Most important is to make public understand the importance of Radio, by entertaining and educating them. ‘Audience Participation’ is the theme of World radio day 2017.

School and college level contests related to radio are organised. Senior radio journalists and station heads will judge the contests. This will encourage young talents to choose radio as their career. A national radio award is also introduced this year. Six personalities/ organisations for their excellent contribution to radio field are chosen, who would be given Outreach National Radio Award.
